Home Courts is a project by Basketbal Vlaanderen that’s all about building more than just basketball courts. Yes, they’re high-quality 3×3 fields. But the real mission? Creating spaces where young people feel welcome, where community grows, and where sport becomes a connector rather than just a competition.
We teamed up with Basketbal Vlaanderen to shape the name, the story, and the bigger idea behind the courts. And we worked with Nijha, one of the implementation partners, to capture the courts in action. That meant everything from photos to drone shots to hype-worthy videos. We kicked things off with a full content shoot at Sint-Jozef-Klein-Seminarie in Sint-Niklaas, and yes, the footage slaps.
How do you turn a few slabs of concrete and some hoops into something people actually care about?
That was the question on the table. For Basketbal Vlaanderen, we needed to shape a brand that stood for way more than sport. It had to scream belonging, pride, community. A court that feels like home, not just a place to shoot threes. For Nijha, it was all about showing that energy in action. We had to capture the sweat, the vibe, the realness of what happens when a court comes to life. And yes, a few cinematic drone shots definitely helped.
We were building a feeling, not just a visual.

Approach
Inside-out
We kicked things off by sitting down with Emma Meesseman and Antonia Delaere to talk about what these courts should actually stand for. Not just from a sports angle, but from a community, youth, and equality perspective. What should kids feel when they step onto one? What should the space represent for someone who’s never touched a basketball before?
From those conversations, we started building the brand. We helped shape the name, tone of voice, messaging, and visual story behind the Home Courts. The line Play As 1 became the heart of it all, a message about unity, inclusion, and showing up for each other. We also helped design on-site visuals like banners and printed materials to make sure the courts looked and felt like something special.
At the same time, we partnered with Nijha to create content that brings the courts to life. That meant producing photo and video assets that showed both the high-quality design and the human energy behind the project. We shot at Sint-Jozef-Klein-Seminarie in Sint-Niklaas and delivered a full package of visuals in every format needed: square, portrait, vertical, and horizontal. Ready for use across social media, digital ads, and presentations.
