Brave vzw is a movement founded by and for young women, aiming to tackle the under-representation of teenage girls in sport, urban sports, and public spaces. Rooted in participatory research and community-driven ambition, Brave strives for visibility, access, and empowerment for girls who want to claim their space — in the city and in sport.
Brave needed a long-term brand strategy and a more inclusive approach to communication. The original focus on “girls” was too narrow, as their mission reaches everyone regardless of gender. They also needed clarity on how to position their diverse services to different target groups. To support this, a new, broader name — Brave — was chosen.

Approach
We worked bottom-up by involving ambassadors directly through workshops, letting them shape the needs and services of Brave. This ensured the strategy and communication truly reflected their voices.
We created a bold visual identity combining abstract typography, expressive graphics, and raw edges. The custom website feels active and alive, clearly presenting Brave’s services. We delivered social media templates and messaging tools for consistent communication. Finally, we trained the Brave team to confidently manage their brand independently.
